Welcome to DeltaState365.com. Myself and Shed McKenzie will work diligently to keep you in tune with everything happening in the Fighting Okara sports world. I am fortunate enough to remember as a young child sitting in the Sillers stands with my mother watching Margaret Wade’s teams play for three AIAW national titles. I am also fortunate enough to have covered the 2000 football national championship and the Mike Kinnison-coached 2004 baseball national title. The late and legendary Coach Boo Ferriss used to drop by my office on afternoons and tell me stories about his days as a star for the Boston Red Sox. In short, I have a little institutional knowledge of the Statesmen and Lady Statesmen. I want to thank Coach Mike Kinnison and everyone at Delta State for welcoming us here! A big shoutout also goes to Cleveland and Boyle for welcoming me back with open arms after living the last 17 years of my life in Oxford. 365 College Sports also runs sites at Ole Miss and the University of West Florida, but I can honestly say there is no place like home!
